Miss Hirst - Year 3 Teacher

I joined Saint Mary's team this September where I hope to contribute to the school's nurturing and encouraging environment. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy watching pupils progress and develop their own ideas and opinions. I hope to help the children to become more confident in their learning and abilities.

Mrs T Rouse - Deputy Head / Year 4 Teacher

Hi! I joined Saint Mary’s in April 2016 as Deputy Head. However, I have held a special place in my heart for this lovely school for most of my life, as this was my primary school. In fact, my mum also taught at St Mary’s! So to be able to come back and help lead the school forward is a real honour.

I am passionate about ensuring children receive the very best education – we only get one chance to get this right and every minute counts at school. I enjoy making learning fun and engaging to encourage a life-long love and respect of learning. It is a huge bonus that Saint Mary’s is a strong Catholic school as the wider support of our priest and parish mean they are always there to support us all on our educational journey.

Miss Snell - Y4 Teacher/Assistant Head/SENco

Hello, My name is Miss Snell. I have been a teacher for 23 years. I joined Saint Mary's in June 2015. Currently I work as Assistant Headteacher, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Year 6 class teacher alongside Mrs Mancey. I really enjoy playing the piano and in my spare time I am a cub scout leader.

Miss Littlewood - Year 5 Teacher

I completed my second year of teaching at Saint Mary's last year and have loved every minute of it. I am passionate about teaching and try to do my utmost for the children in our school. I hope to make learning fun and enjoyable for all children while enabling them to meet their full potential. I am a very positive person and I aim to bring this to my classroom and around the school.

Mrs Mancey - Year 6 Teacher and Assistant Head

I joined St Mary's at Easter 2016 and I am the Assistant Head and the English leader at the school. I work in Year 6 alongside Miss Snell, which is really enjoyable. My favourite subject is English and I am really passionate about raising standards in reading and writing across the school to enable every child to be the best author, poet, playwright and story teller that they can be.
