Class Act of Worship June - 2017

Year 5 held a Class act of worship, prepared by Sienna, Ashdon, Brooke and Angel.  During this the children held a minute’s silence to remember all those who were killed or injured in the terrible recent terror attacks in London.  A passage was read out from the bible about the coming of the Holy Spirit and how the disciples were filled with courage, which was the message throughout the class act of worship.  Sienna read out a special prayer written by the children for all the victims, their families and anyone affected by this terrible disaster, after which  the children sang ‘Love Shine a Light’.

Class Act of Worship

The children in year 5 have written and lead class act of worship, the songs we sung were Gather Together and Give Me Joy. The word from the Bible was the Wind of Fire Acts 1-2. The children decided our class mission was to take a few moments to reflect on the need of others during the day. The rest of the class gave positive and constructive feedback to the four members that prepared the liturgy.

Class Act of Worship

The YR5 children have celebrated Class Act of Worship this week in the chapel. The children were well prepared and it was a beautiful service in the chapel. The music linked in well to the story of in the Beginning. Our mission is to take a few moments and be grateful of what we have and not envious of the things we wish we had or want. The children gave positive feedback on how well it flowed and linked from start to finish.
